Popcorn- Tom Thumb

Zea mays.

85-90 days.  An excellent short season popcorn!  Tom Thumb is a polite garden friend maxing out around 3-4 ft tall with 1-2 cobs per plant.  We easily grew the crop, harvested and had plenty of time for cover crops to grow between for sheep grazing.  A fun quick crop!  The yellow kernels have nice big pops and a noticeably good flavor!

Our homeschool crew really enjoyed working with the popcorn.  They stomped and worked the seed off the cobs, sifted it and opened their own popcorn stand!

Sow around last frost, spacing 6-8" apart. 250 seeds/oz.
